spaghetti Bolognese
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup red wine (optional)
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 lb spaghetti
Instructions:
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
2. Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet; sauté until softened.
3. Stir in grated carrot and chopped celery; cook for a few minutes until vegetables are tender.
4. Pour in crushed tomatoes and red wine (if using). Add dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20-30 minutes.
5. While the sauce simmers, cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
6. Once the sauce has thickened, adjust seasoning if needed. Stir in chopped parsley.
7. Serve the Bolognese sauce over cooked spaghetti. Enjoy your homemade meal!
