Here's a simple Indian recipe for **Chana Masala (Chickpea Curry)**:

### Ingredients:

- 1 cup chickpeas (soaked overnight)

- 2 onions (finely chopped)

- 2 tomatoes (finely chopped)

- 1-inch ginger (grated)

- 3-4 garlic cloves (minced)

- 2 green chilies (slit)

- 2 tbsp oil

- 1 tsp cumin seeds

- 1 tsp turmeric powder

- 1 tsp garam masala

- 1 tsp coriander powder

- 1 tsp red chili powder

- 1 tsp chana masala powder

- Salt to taste

- Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)

- Lemon wedges (optional)

### Instructions:

1. **Cook Chickpeas**: In a pressure cooker, add the soaked chickpeas and water. Pressure cook for 5-6 whistles until soft. Drain and set aside.

2. **Prepare the Curry**: Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they begin to splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

3. **Add Ginger, Garlic, and Chilies**: Stir in the ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Sauté until the raw smell disappears.

4. **Add Tomatoes and Spices**: Add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften and the oil separates.

5. **Combine Chickpeas**: Add the boiled chickpeas and mix well with the masala. Add chana masala powder and garam masala. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, adding water if needed to adjust the consistency.

6. **Garnish and Serve**: Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice or naan, and squeeze lemon juice on top if desired.
